KELLY HOUSE

Kelly House is beautifully restored 1890’s historic home. Each of the three bedroom has its own bathroom, luxurious bed linens & is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends.

  • “A lovely character filled home! A lovely old home showing much character and comfort with all the amenities you need. Excellent location with everything in walking distance. Our timing included 2 of the coldest days/nights of the year but we stayed warm and cosy inside with the heating and the open fire. 2 minor issues were corrected within a very short period of time by the friendly and available managers. We would definitely stay here again although the cleaners should probably take a bit more care with their dusting. Everything else was great!”

  • "Great place and super clean. Great place and super clean. Perfect for a large group (although we weren’t!). Also great that it’s pet friendly. Location was outstanding, honestly you couldn’t get better; literally walking to everything and you won’t need a car. It was super hot while we were there and ducted aircon worked a dream. Kept us very cool! We were there during peak season so all accommodation on the site was fully booked, which does unfortunately mean it’s not as private. Overall it’s a really lovely place, pretty much as described. If you’re into “olde world” then this won’t disappoint."

  • "Cute and bright cottage. Such a cute but bright cottage that looks exactly like photos. Stayed with our golden retriever and it was great to stay in a beautiful cottage that allowed pets. Weather turned pretty feral while we were there and it was such a relief to know there was a protected undercover area for him. It is worth noting there’s a number of steps down to grass area so wouldn’t be overly suitable for short leg or elderly dogs. Location of cottage is brilliant, right in the heart of this beautiful vibrant town. Hostess Jen & Jess excellent communicators. Note previous review said they couldn’t find iron etc , there is one in WIR area along with a hairdryer."

Pickett Cottage was perfectly located, just behind the main street making getting everywhere super easy, including being able to walk straight across the road and into the Beechworth Brewery to grab drinks and an excellent takeaway pizza. The kitchen setup is basic (given location, there's no need to cook!) but still had everything we needed for a short stay. Loved the clawfoot bath / bath amenities provided and undercover parking was an added bonus."

The cottage is very centrally located, just one street back from the main street of town. This did have its downside as we noticed a fair bit of traffic and noise at night from the brewery across the road. The undercover parking provided was a great asset and piece of mind in lots of rain."

  • "Clean, quiet and great for couples. The property is very well situated close to stores, brewery, eateries. When we arrived the final clean had not been done, so owners (or their reps) quickly changed sheets, towels and a thorough clean while we had afternoon tea nearby. As Ned Kelly would say, "Such is life". A nice bottle of wine in fridge for the trouble, which we consumed over two nights. Very good for couples, or couples with a dog (such as us). No noise heard from nearby hotels or the brewery. Beechworth is quieter than we recall from our last visit, so visit while your tourist dollar is appreciated."

A particular mention for the thought that went into ensuring that the kitchen had basic supplies like salt, pepper, olive oil, rubbish bags and dishwasher tablets. Many places don't think about this. So, top marks to the hosts."

  • "Close to town - look no further. We had a great stay. If you want a place close to town, look no further! Perfect location and so close to the main attractions and restaurants in the heart of Beechworth. The location itself is down the side of another residence but is private. Perfect for a solo traveller and snug for a couple, but if you feel uncomfortable with a kitchen, toilet and shower in the same room then it might not be for you. We had a frustrating experience on the first night with the smoke detector ringing out every 30 mins starting at 1am until I removed the battery entirely. Not ideal given it’s the middle of summer but this was promptly addressed the next morning with great host communication and a replacement battery provided. Would be 5 stars otherwise!"
